Dance music is generally produced for the use by DJs, sometimes by the DJ themselves, who then performs a live-set of their own music arrangements, or plays tracks from different artists in a rhythmic pattern in their DJ mix

Codes and Conventions –
The main code and convention of electronic music is that electronic instruments are used in the song such as keyboard used by Metronomy. The codes and conventions of the music videos include bright colours, often narrative videos related to the lyrics, strobe lighting, quick editing and occasionally fun upbeat atmosphere.

Bright colours, strange videos which don’t make sense, strobe lighting effects and bright colours

Sometimes more indie genre with scruffy looks and casual clothes with a down to earth atmosphere and clips of day-to-day life

Location relevant to music such as clubs or parties. Occasionally narrative stories.

Narrative videos typically clarify the meaning of the song and it’s lyrics.

"Rhythm Is a Dancer" is a song recorded by German eurodance group Snap!. It was released in April 1992 and achieved huge success in many countries around the world, topping the charts in France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom

Uses animated shots & flickering astronomy/aviation maps and animated figures dancing.
Was first in the charts in 1992-1993 in 10 different countries
